PKZIP for DOS is a high performance, full-featured, standard-setting file compression program.
Features of PKZIP include: compact, high-speed file compression using a `deflation` algorithm; support for Windows 9x long file names; the ability to `span` a large compressed file across multiple diskettes (with on-the-fly destination diskette formatting); password encryption; authenticity verification; optional zip file and file comments; the ability to store/rebuild directory structures; and more.
This download includes PKZIP for creating ZIP files, PKUNZIP for extracting files from ZIP files, PKSFX for creating self-extracting EXE ZIP files and PKZIPFix for fixing ZIP files. |
